3S Swiss Solar Systems has for years been the world’s technological market leader in the field of laminating. Our laminating lines meet the most stringent demands places on the laminating process. They are fitted with their own patented heating system which¬¨‚Ćoptimises the cross-linking¬¨‚Ćof the EVA foil and makes a reproduciable laminating process possible.

Our laminators are able to achieve unique temperature homogeneity in minimal heating times and with a high throughput. The maximum temperature difference between the coolest and warmest point is at most +1/-1¬¨ńĮC. This guarantees for our customers the production of highest-quality PV modules with a long useful life whilst keeping Total Costs of Ownership down to a minimum. Our proven technology is suitable for crystalline as well as thin-layer cells.

Competence in Solar Module Production ‚Äö√ĄńŹ Turnkey Production Lines

Since 2008, we have been integrating various machines into integrated production lines for the manufacture of solar modules with varying degrees of automation.

In developing the fully automated production lines, the 3S engineers struck a new path: instead of substituting the existing manual operations with robot systems – which has been the normal method until now – our experts analysed and optimised each individual step in the solar module manufacturing process, right down to the finest detail. For each specific function and every production stage the appropriate technological equipment was developed and adapted. In order to integrate various automation solutions, individual steps in the production process were completely redefined. The production lines with a high degree of automation therefore include a number of technological features that are worldwide innovations and therefore offer the most innovative solutions currently available on the market for the encapsulation and final processing of solar modules.
